completely and utterly confused, i have no idea how to renew vows.

    We're renewing our vows because we never had a wedding, just a ceremony in our minister's office.  My family didn't approve of our marrying.

    I've decided to ashew all ettiquette and have-tos and do this the way we intended to in the first place.

    I love my family and friends dearly, and want to share our joy and love with them.  My attempt to create beauty and peace for a day is for them, too.
