Hello everyone, I am trying to have my FI and I recite poems to each other during our wedding ceremony, poems that I am composing by myself. I have noticed that the poems/sonnets I've heard ppl recite at their weddings are usually by poets. so I was wondering if it has to be by a poet or if I can simply use mine. Thanks for your help.

    It's YOUR ceremony, you can use whatever readings you want!  Go for it!

    Agreed!  Your poem/reading will be better than anyone else's because it will be personalized and special to you and your FI.
