Re: HONEYMOON

  • We're doing 7 days in Aruba. Can. Not. Wait. Might be looking forward to this more than the wedding.

  • Most likely going to go to our favorite place San Jose Cabo, Mexico!!
  • We are also doing a 5 day cruise with Carnival. I am soooo looking forward to it.

  • We are doing 11 days split between Oahu and Maui at a couple resorts in Hawaii.  I think I will be floating on a cloud once we get there.
  •  we are doing a 12 day cruise of the mediterranean, which starts in venice and ends in barcelona on carnival. after it docks we are doing a day or two in barcelona, then flying to paris for a few days, then home.

  • San Diego the first half of the week, and Disneyland the second!!!  We got engaged at Disney World and it was really special, so I'm excited to spend some of our honeymoon at one of the Disneys!
  • Everyone's honeymoons sound fantastic!  We are doing a 5 day Carnival cruise to Progreso, Yucatan Mexico and Cozumel then spending a day and night in New Orleans! I just can't wait to swim with dolphins... although I've been scolded by a BM that said swimming with the dolphins isn't good for them. Ummm I'm sure plenty of people have done it and it can't be too bad for them if they let so many people do it! I know for now on to not talk about the fishies with her hahaha

  • I still remember when this board was practically empty and just getting started.  I feel like we're going through all these planning levels and then graduation Class of September 2013!  Kind of like we were freshmen and then sophomores and now we're getting to the junior level with locking in our honeymoons.  It's all so exciting and makes me so happy to see everyone else living and enjoying their dreams too.  I just want to squeal!

  • Im so super jealous of all your honeymoons!! We are unfortunally doing nothing, :( lol We really cant afford it since we are paying for the wedding ourself and we have two children. So really we wouldn't have anyone to watch our kids either, I bet my parents would but Id hate to ask. Anyway, how much do these honeymoons run? Jared and I have never been anywhere lol and I don't even know how much something like a cruise or all inclusive would cost.

Please don't worry about it or compare.  Your own pace is what's perfect for you.  We're here to support and encourage you.  But if you can take a few days off you can get some amazing deals at cheapcaribbean.com.  I used it a couple years ago when money was tight for me too for a trip to an all inclusive resort in the Bahamas.  It was great!  It wasn't 5 star but it was very nice.  Good luck!
  • We are planning on doing 10 days in Hawaii, splitting our time between Maui and Oahu. I can't wait!!! We haven't booked it yet though.. I am hoping the rates go down!

<div>The forums on Trip Advisor is how FI narrowed down our hotel choice for Aruba. We'll be at the Bucuti & Tara Beach Resorts. There is a ton of info on the forums, and a lot of people that go there frequently. You'll have to let me know how it is, since I think you'll be there before me!</div>

  • We're going to Jamaica for a week and will be staying at a Couples resort..just not sure which one yet! I'd like to stay at one that includes horseback riding in the "all-inclusive" but FI wants to stay at a different location. We'll see who wins Wink

  • We are going to LA for a week.  No disney, but all sorts of other places.  FH is a car guy so all I had to say to convince him was "PETERSON AUTO MUSEUM" and he was hooked.  I get to do all the other cheesy tourist things I haven't done before like the Tar Pits, and all the beaches.

And if we get bored, we're driving so we can come home early...  although I doubt we will get bored...

  • We aren't going on a honeymoon right away. We are waiting until Feb since we have weddings to travel to in Oct. bBut we are for sure thinking Hawaii but not sure which island. Maui or Kauai...and if Maui, not sure exactly where. I want the beach!!! Any ideas? Open to suggestions!

  • We are keeping it simple and will go up to Arlington, Tx to watch our favorite baseball team, the Texas Rangers and some other stuuf but we haven't decided yet.
  • 7 nights at Couples Negril, locked and loaded!  I am so f-ing excited, I think I've watched every single Couples Negril video on YouTube 5 times already, and I live on the site.  We booked at a time when the rates were 65% off - to anyone who hasn't booked yet, check out allinclusiveoutlet.com and honeymoonsinc.com; they have the best deals I could find on the net.  Allinclusiveoutlet came in about $30 cheaper for us, but the other site was cheaper for other resorts so take notes.

Watch the deals and book when they're on!

<div>AWESOME! Maybe we'll see you around the resorts! Couples looks so fantastic. We're looking at Tower Isle, as I've been told they include horseback riding in the all-inclusive (my favorite activity in the world), but also looking at Swept Away. Negril looks absolutely breathtaking. Congrats!!!!</div>

We are doing 7 nights at Zoetry Wellness Spa and Resort.  Originally were doing Secrets Maroma Beach but the price jumped 2k in 2 days so we found this place and for only a couple hundred more are getting a HUGE honeymoon package.

I am absoultely looking forward to it more than the wedding currently lol.
