Help picking out an accent color...

hey! For my wedding I chose light blue and red, howeve,r to avoid a fourth of july theme I'm trying to think of a good accent color. Any ideas?

Our first date was 4th of july so for our colors I wanted to do something with red white and blue.  I agree with you though that I wanted to avoid the obvious 4th of july reference.  We are going with deep eggplant (may switch to navy if I can't find the right shade of eggplant BM dresses), cranberry, and champagne instead of the usual red white and blue.

Those are my wedding colors to! Bright blue and a dark rich red. I'm going to try to use browns instead of white, it goes with my theme Hawaii Vintage. Also, instead of both of the colors being dominant I'm separating them. Ceremony: everything is going to be mainly blue, bm dresses are blue, my flowers are white and blue and my aisle runner is going to be white with blue lace on the edges. BM flowers are all red, GM boutonnieres are red and FI tie is red and my dads tie will be blue. I'm going to try to have a bamboo arch/alter and hang sheer blue fabric and have single red flowers wrapped in the fabric. Reception: everything is the dark rich red, table clothes, plates (including dessert), cups, napkins. I'm also going to try to hang red parasols and only a few blue parasols from the ceiling. The cake is going to be red velvet (a few other flavors to) with blue frosting. Thats what I've got so far so I hope it helps.

You could always do blk or gray.  Even Ivory...
