Happy Valentine's Day!

Not only is it the very best holiday to be in LOOOOVVVVEEE.... It's also almost the weekend!

Last night FI mentioned something about having special lunch plans. He has to work this evening, so I thought it was sweet he was going to take me to lunch before he went to work. I coyly asked him who he was going to lunch with, and he replied, "Adam" (his buddy from work). Um, excuse me?!

We're fighting.

(Not really, I thought it was more funny than anything else [we don't ever really celebrate V-Day], but you know I'm going to make him pay for that one. )

FI is working four hours away from where I live this year (he gets sent around to different places for his job), plus he has to work until about nine or ten tonight.  It's physically impossible for us to actually see each other.  Bummer.  Instead, we're both charging our iPads and we're going to FaceTime during Suits, the one show that we both watch together.  This weekend I'm going down to see him so we have big plans Saturday night.  He's going to take me out for a nice dinner and I'm going to see if I can talk him into the movies.  Sunday morning his parents are taking us out to breakfast, which is huge.  I've been complaining that when I visit we never spend any time with his parents (which is actually a problem because they think I'm taking him away from them), so it's so nice to see that he's finally getting it and making sure we plan at least one thing with them.  Progress!

Trying not to think about how this is the first Valentine's Day in six years that we haven't spent together.  Yuck.

Today is my Friday so I'm insanely excited to get through this work day!  I'm making a kid-friendly VDay dinner tonight (spaghetti w/ heart shaped meatballs and heart shaped breadsticks).  Tomorrow I'm off so I'll have all day to sex up the house (and myself!) and get ready for some quality adult time.
