wedding dress time??

My wedding is 9/27/2013.. when should I start looking at dresses and bridesmaid dresses? i feel if I start now, I would be getting wayyy ahead of myself..

I went dress shopping last weekend and fell in love with a dress, they had a trunk show going on and the dress was marked down almost $1,000.00, so I decided to go ahead and purchase it. The bridal consultant told us that quite a few bridal designers are taking around 10-12 months for the dresses to come in, and bridesmaids dresses are about the time time frame. So i dont think that it is to soon to start looking. I would call around to a few places in your area and ask them about how long it is taking for them to come in.

i just bought my dress on saturday for a 9/28/13 wedding.. when you know you know!!  for the girls dresses im going to wait til october

I bought my dress in February, sooo personally I don't think it's too soon. lol Haven't asked my BMs yet and that won't be happening until September.

The wedding I'm in, we went with the bride two weeks ago just for fun, and she ended up finding her dress... which is being discontinued.

Us BMs also got an idea of what we may want.

It sometimes helps to get an idea of what you want. The bride though she wanted this long flowy gown and ended up loving a princess ballgown with a drop waist.

I am shopping 7/7 but I was a little nervous about my body and that's why it took me so long to get up enough gutzo to go look. I would have gone about 2/3 months ago I have a great idea already for BM dresses and very excited to ask the WP in September so we can go look at those dresses!

I would wait until at least September. Ladies, keep in mind that bridal collections come out in October!!! If you already bought your dress or will buy soon, just don't look anymore after you buy your dress. Dresses take up to 6 months to come in.
