Morning, ladies.

I feel so relieved that the interview process is over. I don't know yet if I got the job, but the stress was really taking a toll on me, so I'm just glad it's done!

I'm having a bit of wedding readiness freak out. 
I know I have done a lot so far but I have so freaking much left to do! We are having a really hard time finding bridesmaid dresses and I haven't booked an officiant.  My mom makes me go look at things three times before we buy... which is so flipping annoying.  I know what invitations I want lets just get them!!!#^%$^$W&  Ugh.  I just want to make the choices and move on.  
  I'm having a mini wedding meltdown.  #engagedgirlproblems

Good morning!

I'm glad your interview went well. Did they say when you might hear something? I need to start the job search process, but working overtime makes me lazy.

FI just told me if we don't put a shelf back up that monster Husky knocked down when we first got him that I don't get a honeymoon. I told him we are putting it back up as soon as I walk in the door from work on Sat.

I'm kinda bummed today because it's my half birthday and that means in 6 months I will be 30. I know 30 isn't old by anymeans and normally age doesn't bother me, I just hoped to have a lot more accomplished by 30. I wanted to have my CPA already and I haven't even started studying and the wedding planning and overtime makes me not want to study for it. Blah, I'll just crawl under my desk and pout.

Jlp -- I hear you! I am just wanting to be efficient and get things checked off, and people keep asking "are you sure?" or "isn't it a bit early?" No. I want to get things DONE so the summer months aren't so stressful!

BAS -- Thanks! I am hoping to hear by the end of the week. They were finishing interviews yesterday, and it is down to me and two others. Fingers crossed!

exactly!  I want to be able to enjoy the summer and not worry about anything but the bacholerette, my birthday, the beach and anything else that has to do with partying!

Just heading back to work today...good job on the job interview, btw!

Some good friends of ours are getting married in July, and sent out a FB post to everyone with a link to their wedding website, saying "you will be getting an invite to the party of the summer, aka our wedding!" I know I'm being wayyyyy too sensitive, but seeing as our wedding is Sept 7th and still technically summer, I thought it was a little insensitive...I know I read too much into it, just needed to get that off my chest.

I'm interviewing right now too and it's SERIOUSLY stressing me out! i'm glad i'm not the only one!! I'm actually starting to lose sleep over it! I wish I could jsut shut my brain off sometimes and not worry so much.

On a happy note, my TK homepage says 199 days to go today!!! yay!!!!

LOL!!  I'm 36 and I remember distinctly being VERY upset six months before my 30th birthday, mostly for the same reasons.  To the point I put myself in a depression over it.  My best friend/MOH also did.  I think that's completely normal.  But no matter how many times you've heard it before, age truly is just a number.  And oddly enough once 30 actually arrives it's kind of no big deal.  It's the buildup and dwelling on it that puts us in overdrive. 

And as for my 30th birthday, I literally filled out loan paperwork to purchase my first home on my 30th birthday.  Life is what you make of it!  :-)

I had a minor freakout right before I hit 25.  I'm dreading 30.  When did I get to be a "grown up" age?

I'm actually kinda excited about my dirty 30!   ( I know I'm in the minority)

 I have just about hit every planned milestone (except for the house thing) and I plan on making my 30s even better than my 20s!   My 20s were full of moving, partying, chaos.... etc.  I'm looking forward to settling down a bit, getting married, buying a house, and having babies!!!

You ladies will rock 30!

I think 30 is feeling as sucky as it is because FI is 2 years younger than me and so are most of our mutual friends and they are all rubbing it in and making jokes about it. Everyone around me seems to be calling me old and making it really negative and I think that's what is getting to me. 

I was also hoping for some sort of celebration but since the birthday is 2 weeks before the wedding I feel like its going to totally get ignored, which is understandable. I know its total spoiled brat of me. I go out of my way to make sure everyone in my life has an awesome and special birthday every year and no one seems to care about my birthday.

But enough of me feeling sorry for myself. FI just called and went strawberry picking after work and we now have 5.5 lbs of strawberries for me to cook/bake with. That man rocks!

I love being 30, don't stress! Within a month of my birthday, we moved into our dream house, got engaged and I got a promotion at work! I also find the being 30 has given me a 'take no BS' attitude, which I am loving! My 30s are gonna be awesome!
