How many partners did you have before you and your FI got together?
Considering  I am 36 it's probably higher than a lot of you ladies.  Ugh.

Why did you and your last partner end things?
My last significant relationship ended because we were just going in different directions.  We were together for four years and loved eachother very much but had different goals in life.  I was a sobbing irrational mess for a long time.  Not just for the loss of the relationship but the fear of starting over in my late 20's.  And after dating so many people that didn't live up to the standards of what I wanted in a man, I became kind of jaded.  Actually, I became very jaded.  I just gave up on meeting someone truly special and just lived my life the way I wanted to live it with no need for a "stinky man".  ;-)  But then I was with friends tailgating for the Bengals games (I was a season ticket holder at the time) and met my FI.  I didn't look at him like anything other than a friend but eventually he won me over and we went on a date.  And we've been together ever since.  It took me until I was 32 to meet the RIGHT man, but I'm so glad I waited and didn't settle for less than I deserved.

Well, considering I used to be a crazy, crazy partier and started pretty young, my number is a little embarrassing... lol 

I had a serious relationship when I was pretty young and we lived together at 17 (I started college early) and broke up shortly after I turned 18 when I decided to go to college an hour away.  He was a controlling freak!  Well, I was sure that I couldn't get over him, but I met a few "loves" in college, but none of them lasted.  Anyway, I met FI when I was working at an apt. complex,  he moved in and was the most "normal" guy I ever met!  Unfortunately, my ex from 5 years before decided to get back in contact with me around that same time that I started seeing FI and ask me out and to give him another chance, but I decided that my FI was worth turning that jerk down even though that was the moment I had been hoping for for so many years!  Best decision EVER!!!

Why my ex and I broke up: He's in the military and got posted three provinces over. We weren't serious yet so we decided to go our separate ways. It was still sad though. He was a great guy and he was Hella Hot!

I had one serious (the father of my daughter) and a few little flings inbetween him and my FI

Why did you and your last partner end things?
My daughters father and i broke up because he was VERY controlling, would check my phone everyday i had to tell him a play by play of my day and who I seen and talked to and what not, then we went out for my friends birthday and he ended up getting physically abusive towards me and i left and never came back. i tried making it work for the sake of my daughter but realized it wasnt worth it at all.

How many: One serious relationship before FI.

Why we broke it off: We met when I moved to London, and he's English. After several attempts to get his visa to move to the US and our paperwork being lost multiple times, all the snags, etc. I decided I couldn't go through the struggle any longer. He's a great guy, we remain distant friends.

How many partners:  Holy sh*t.  I was a wild girl when I was younger, and that's all I'm going to say!!

Why did we end:  He was too much like a kid, and I finally hit that place when I didn't want to be hammered all the time.  I really should have ended things with him much sooner than I did, but I'm not good with actually saying "we're done" (I would always just walk away and guys would take the hint, but not this one) and it all dragged on much longer than it needed to.  I went buck wild again for a few years, until FI grabbed ahold and didn't let go

How many :  Well...it isn't low haha.  BUT!  I always was dating the guy!  Never any real "flings"...I just happened to date a lot for a 2 year period!

Why broke up with an ex:  Well...I had a boyfriend before FI for like 4 months and that was just destined to fail so I'll go back to the one before that that was prob my most serious besides FI.  We were still in college and he just worried himself to DEATH.  He wasn't far (like an hour) but was in a frat and wouldn't partake in stuff with the other guys because he'd want to be talking to me and he'd just stay in on weekends and we'd talk on AIM (yes it was awhile ago!) allllll weekend long.  I was in xray school so was at home and I went down to his school all of the time and he came home tons too but it was just those periods when he was there and I was here.  I ended it with him because I couldn't see him being so worried all the time.  Never controlling or creepy or anything but I'd almost go as far as saying he was depressed.  I knew something had to be done when they had a party or something downstairs and there was a stripper and he wasn't with the other guys.  Not that I was excited that he'd be oogling other girls but I just felt like he wasn't living his life.  We vowed to get back together but by the time he graduated, I was already with FI!  He was heartbroken and I still almost kinda feel bad to this day but the connection I had with FI was entirely too strong to ignore...even if we had only been together for a month.  Apparently I was right!

I had one boyfriend before FI. 

We were young (17-18) when we got together...we broke up, got back together, broke up, got back together...he had a lot of issues and I wanted to "fix him"...he never finished high school, couldn't hold down a job, ended up moving into my dad's basement for awhile...because he was my "first love" I had a hard time letting go.  We were "off again" when I met my FI, and I was so done with everything at that point and ready for something new.  I think meeting my FI was when I finally got over my ex.  He tried really hard to win me back when FI and I first got together...delivering flowers to my house, work, etc...it's funny how people decide they want what they can't have!

How many? Not too many, but a few.

The last ex and I broke up because he was a cheating double timing idiot, and I was stupid enough to fall for his games and tricks several times... Finally managed to get my behind out of that mess and was actually off guys when I met my FI. Several of the other guys I dated before my FI were cheating on me, or into this on again off again thing, looking back I dont understand why I let myself stay in those shitty relationships..

Why we broke up: I had a year long relationship before my FI. He was addicted to pills and I couldnt deal with that. hew as also very controlling and intimidating to other people in my life. After college..he moved back to CA and I said see you later. I went back to my previous BF who I had dated for 3.5 years....he was still in the same place he was when we dated previously..his parents house with no job, no degree, and no ambition.

I was set up with FI by mutual friends one night....the night we met he took my number, called me a few days later for a date, and we have been together ever since Well worth the wait!!!!

Wow, I have been with too many people to actually give a number because it is quite embarrassing. But I went through a major party streak for awhile, always safe but too crazy. My last major relationship was actually a 3 year long distance deal... He was my first love high school sweetheart and even after we broke up we kept in touch. He had moved away due to the military. Well a few years ago we decided to try to make a go of it again and we lasted 3 years... What really ended it was who was going to move where. For the longest time he was goin to move here then out of no where decided I should pick up and move my son to KS from NC. While we were falling apart is when I started hanging out with my FI ... I had met FI through his room mate that I was dating before the long distance relationship. Anyways I did the single thing for awhile and eventually settled down and My now FI basically dragged me out and about as Friends so I wasn't just being miserable

My last BF before FI and I broke up because he cheated on me. We are on and off for the years and he kept doing hurtful things like talking to other girls online etc but I never had "proof" that he had actually cheated, until one day, I found the proof and I was gone. He did the whole trying to win me back thing but I was done. It was three months later when I decided to go catch up over dinner with a friend from high school, and six months later I was engaged. Funny how life works sometimes lol
