How's wedding planning coming along?

I know I've been MIA for a bit but with Thanksgiving and all work has been super busy and we've had to stay really late and even worked on a Sunday which is nuts for a doctor's office! Also I was sick with a cold that had me feeling crappy for awhile. Grrrrr to that! Lol. So how are you awesome ladies doing? How was everyone's Thanksgiving? And the most important question is how is wedding planning coming along for all you girls? Are checks getting checked off? Not trying to be nosey or anything but I feel like I've been outta the loop and have alot of catching up to do with all of you
As for my fiancé and I we just booked the wedding photographer last weekend! We ended up booking the same lady that took our engagement pics because we loved the job she did and how awesome she is. We met up with her last Friday to sign the contract and put down the deposit and while we were there she also gave us our engagement pics!! Which I'll be posting either later tonight or tomorrow after work. I'm going to order our save the dates the week after christmas I'm so excited about that! Can't wait! We are also going to put down the deposit for the DJ either this weekend or next weekend so I'm happy about that too. Feels great to be getting stuff checked off can't wait to hear all about everyone's planning and how everything is coming together!!

Yay for getting the photographer!  Tha was one of my favorite things to get checked off.  And engagement photos are fun :-)

We're doing our save the dates after Christmas too!  Just waiting for the holiday mail to go away.

We're working on our honeymoon right now.  We want to get some of it booked now (and paid for now to get that off my list).  We're also finalizing the guest list this weekend.  My FI and his mother are sitting down tonight to make some changes and we're going to merge the two lists and see where we stand.  Fun times!

I'm going to feel so much better once we get this stuff taken care of.

Hi!  I'm probably new since you left and came back

I got engaged on Nov 16 so I feel like I am WAY BEHIND everyone haha.  Trying not to panic!

So far we have set the date, ordered the invites and booked the location and caterer for the engagement party.

We've also selected a venue and have the date (Sept 14) on hold while we wait for them to prepare the contract. 

I'm interviewing 2 caterers and have a tasting appointment set up with one in two weeks.  I've also interviewed one photographer and have a call into another.

We haven't done engagement pics yet.  We are both trying to lose a bit of weight so I am thinking april - but that means we won't get to use them on our std which is probably ok with me!

congrats on making headway on your wedding planning!!

me and my BM's are going BM dress shopping in December. maybe then i'll actually pick a color scheme for my wedding! also, i'm hoping my STD's will be finished within the next couple of weeks, although I have plenty of time. I figure i'll send them out at the end of January.

Yay how exciting we're all getting stuff crossed off! I love hearing how everyone's planning is coming along it sometimes reminds me of stuff I need to work on and check off : We are having a small wedding party only my MOH and his BM and the flower girl and ring bearer. My MOH happens to be his sister and we are planning on going to davids bridal next Sunday to look for her dress and what style and color we like and so I can buy some color swatches. Our wedding colors are orange and dark purple and I would love to pick the exact shades of these colors by the end of December the latest. Ohhhh and welcome to the boards newbie!! These girls are soooo awesome I'm still fairly new myself. I'm on my phone right now and forgot your username so for now I'll call you newbie once I get on my laptop I'll be able to see your name. Lol. Thanks for replying ladies you guys rock
