Wedding Wednesday!

Okay I have had like no sleep...got last min tickets to the reds game last night and by the time we got the baby, got home and went to bed it was after 1am.  I so cant hang with the big dogs anymore!  That being said I dont wanna work today so lets wake this board up!!! 

Tell us about your FI....

Does he have any "MUST" for the wedding?  Is he helping with much?  Bounus points for a pic of him!

Mandi, I've so been there with the late night game/baby bedtime!

FI is very helpful when I ask him for input, but he's willing to let me run the main show lol.  His big requirements are open bar, shuttle service and no confusion (we've been to recent weddings where NO ONE knew what was happening after the kiss).  He has offered to help with DIY projects, but most of them are still in the planning stages so I don't need hands for that yet.  His main jobs (according to him) are to keep me happy and make money to cover the checks .

I'm at work and they've rigged our PCs so it's damn near impossible to download/upload/freaking have pics anymore .

He doesn't really have anything that he "must" have. He has helped me plan a lot and anything I ask for input he is there to help me

My guy is one of the "whatever you want I want" types.  He basically leaves it up to me to decide... except for one odd request.  He wants chair covers.  The chairs at our venue are really nice but FI has it stuck in his head that it should be done.  At $7 a chair, I'm cringing.

My FI is awesome (if he wasn't I wouldn't be marrying him!) and he's been helping a lot.  I have a strange fear of calling people on the phone so he makes all the phone calls and sets things up.

It was really important to him to have the wedding in the Catholic Church.  It was a "must" for him.  He also wanted the wedding reception to be held indoors.  We compromised and we're having our reception on a yacht, (with two indoor decks) which is perfect for us because be both love being out on the water.

He's super helpful and because we're working so well together we're getting things done ahead of schedule so we can plan some relaxation time in!

FI's one thing was weather...he just begged me not to stick him in a tux in 90 degree weather.  He is unbelievable with this planning thing!  He has an eye for stuff and I trust him with everything.

I love that we are doing this together and he isn't just giving me the reigns   He's the best.

My FI has been supportive through it all, yet is also pulling the "whatever makes you happy, makes me happy" card.  The only thing he's been outspoken about is our music.  He really wanted a live band and he wanted the music to reflect us as a couple.  So, instead of a DJ or band that plays a little bit of all the top 40 hits etc, we are hiring a band that plays mostly folk and bluegrass music and hopefully will do at least a few songs at our request for first dance, father/daughter, etc.  I was hesitant at first that people wouldn't "get it" but to know us, it just makes sense.

Sorry got busy at work and didnt have time to post. 

FI wanted a "bengals"  (football) wedding while I told him we can do orange, blk and white as colors I am not having a "bengals" wedding.  He also does not want to wear a tux and we are getting married outside so I def get that.  Other than that he hasnt really asked for much.  He tells me he will help with whatever...but we havent done to much yet so I will let you know how that goes.  Pic in Siggy will try to get another one tonite.

</div><div>His must is a limo. When I originally said we could just drive with our parents to and from things, it got a big no. lol He really wanted an SUV limo, but it just isn't in our budget. Although since we had to take the motorcycle off the road when he broke his helmet (couldn't afford a new one), his mom offered to get him one for Christmas and pay for the insurance (also a Christmas present). But knowing how little time we'll have for riding, he thinks he's going to ask his mom for the limo for Christmas instead. So who knows he might just get his SUV limo. lol</div><div>

FI does not have any must have... He basically is leaving everything up to me for the most part... Whatever makes me happy makes him happy. I haven't really come up with the actual centerpiece but he will probably be helping with those... He's an audiophile so I am sure the music will be a big deal when we decide on the DJ and come up with our must play and do not play lists. My pic on here is a picture of both of us

My FI acts like he wants nothing to do with the planning but as soon as I mention anything he automatically has an opinion. He has convinced me that he can wear board shorts, flip flops, sunglasses, and his hat at our wedding. It is a beach wedding so I am ok with that. He also says he has the music covered as long as we have plenty of alcohol. I love that man.This is my honey without his signature hat.
