V-Day plans?

Has anyone made Valentine's Day plans yet?  We're going to our favorite Italian restaurant, Daniele Osteria.  The last time we were there was the night Ben proposed.  I'm hoping to talk him to going to The Library afterwards.

I have no idea.  I'm throwing around the idea of surprising him with 5 boxes of ammo and taking him to a shooting range since he doesn't get to go very often...and I kind of want to shoot his handgun.

I kind of want to go out to dinner since all we've ever done is stay in and cook...but at the same time the meals we've been making lately beat the pants off of any restaurant I've ever been to...and it's cheaper, not as crowded, and more romantic.

I'm crossing my fingers that he's been paying attention and has ordered a ring from the Silpada catelog that I've been drooling over since Christmas.

We're going out to eat at Maggiano's on Friday night.  They were completely booked up for Saturday after 2:00 PM I think, and I didn't want to go out on Sunday.

I'm thinking about surprising him with a fancy sun screen for his car.  I know, lame.  :)  He has has eye on a particular one that is a bit pricey and I don't think he would ever buy it for himself, so I'm thinking about getting it for him.

We are going to stay home and cook something imaginitive together and rent a movie.  We go out quite a bit, so it has become a tradition of ours to stay in and have a quiet night on Valentine's Day.

We aren't going to do gifts, as getting married in 3 1/2 months plus our honeymoon is a pretty great gift!!

We made reservations for Texas de Brazil on Sunday because I've never been.  As for gifts he got a new video game and I got a Johnny Was dress from Neimans.  But Im also thinking of sending him a little gift at work from popcorn factory the friday before.  Is that too cheesy?

acholak, that's  a great idea if he loves that kind of stuff.  You actually just reminded me about Tiff's Treats and how I've been wanting to send Steve some nice, warm cookies as a surprise and the Friday before V-day is a great time to do it!

We're not doing gifts, just dinner and drinks Saturday night.  A night out on the town is gift enough for me!

We are going to Ft. Lauderdale that weekend for Jeff's grandmothers 90th birthday party. It will be like a family reunion, so I'm excited. Also, Jeff's mom and grandmother's birthdays are on Vday, so we have never really celebrated big, maybe I'll make him a cheesecake...

Nothing, since I'll still be in Nashville :(

But, I'll be back a week after that, so we're going to have a late V-Day and celebrate my coming home by going out, probably to The Melting Pot. They have 1/2 off chocolate and cheese during happy hour. I'm going to send him a card and some candy, too. I'm hoping someone will strongly hint to him to send me flowers, but he probably won't. He never thinks that far ahead :)

I told Bill that I had to be home on Valentine's Day by 4 PM so I could see the couples' figure skating.  :-)

We're going to Dino's on Main St. in Grapevine and spending the night at a hotel.  I'm getting Bill a gift certificate to the Boardroom, a mens' salon.  I think.

No plans yet for us, but I hope DH surprises me.   It doesn't really matter what we do, because my mom will be in town that week-end, so the possibilities are limitless.  She can watch the kids while we hit the town or do something special.

My soon to be hubby is moving up here to KC on Saturday.  The wedding is Feb 20th.  After 3 years of long distance, this is the best Valentine's Day present ever!

We love The Melting Pot, but it's so expensive!  We registered for a fondue set and got it, and I found some copycat recipes online.  We're going to have a fondue night!
