Aruba

Who out there is honeymooning in Aruba? If so, where are you staying? I'm having such a hard time deciding! Any advice/suggestions would be helpful!! thanks!

Re: Aruba

  • I am! FI chose the resort -- Bucuti and Tara Beach Resorts. We got a penthouse suite that I'm really excited about. It is an adult-exclusive resort that has an all-inclusive option, but we've heard that the restaurants in Aruba are so good, it's not worth it!

You should check out the trip advisor froum for Aruba. I know that's how FI decided on Bucuti.

  • Thanks for the input! I can't decide between the Bucuti and the Divi. The Bucuti is WAY nicer and more luxurious but the Divi has the all inclusive which we want (we eat and drink a LOT so it will be better money wise). ahhhhh decisions!

Before you get your heart set on something, better call and check availability. We booked Bucuti about 8 months ago...

  •   Just wanted to say Aruba is beautiful, spent a week there and had a great time. Total fun in the sun (it was the HOTTEST place I've ever been to, must have been close to 100 degrees)  We stayed in a cheap hotel and it was fine because all of the really nice hotels let us use their amenities, they just assumed we were guests there.

  • My FH & I decided to go with the Hyatt Regency.  They just did a renovation last year on all of their restaurants and the grounds look beautiful.  We were originally looking at an all-exclusive but heard from many different sources that it is a waste of money in Aruba since they have MANY delicious restaurants and we will most likely wind up doing all of our dining outside of the resort.  I am not too worried about it not being all adult either since September is an off peak month. and most children will be back in school.  Make sure you do you price research as well.  The travel agencies DONT always have the best prices.  We booked our package with Jetblue Getaways and got a price that was $1,500 cheaper than what the agency was quoting us!

    Good Luck!
