So on your big what are your seating arrangements??  Are you having a sweetheart table or are you sitting with the bridal party?  Is your table going to be elevated?  Let me know!

We're having a swetheart table, and lining our parents, siblings and spouses, and children (they're our WP anyway lol) in the row of seating closest to us.  That's as far as I've gotten with seating lol.

Not sure about elevation yet, but the thought has crossed my mind.

No big planning here. Honestly don't know what half of that means LOL. But so far my plan is just he and I at our own table.

We have pretty much decided on a sweetheart table too.  I would rather have our wedding party be able to sit with their family and friends and my FI and I can soak it all in while we're eating together.

Our plan right now is to do a captain's table -- us, our wedding party, and their dates. I've never really been a fan of being on display in front of everyone, so I'd like it to be a little more casual, but that's just me!

We are sitting with the wedding party and having reserved tables for our family and open seating for everyone else.  I never liked telling people where to sit, and since we are having a buffet, having assigned seating doesn't seem necessary.

Apparently I'm the odd one out. PLanning on doing a wedding party table. It's just tradition in my circle. I couldn't imagine only having me and my fiance, although it has crossed my mind once or twice.

We're having a head table. I've never been to a wedding that didn't have one. It probably will not be elevated. We have the option to have it on a stage, but I'm thinking we'll have the DJ set up there instead.

I really want to hide with my wedding party (more specifically wth my sister), but I think it makes the most sense to do a sweetheart table (I don't want to break up families/dates etc).

We are doing a sweetheart table on the same level as everyone else. I have this anxiety of people thinking that "I think I'm better than everyone else" lol. We are also having all the bm's and their dates to my right at one round table and all the gm's to the left of my "hubby" at another round table. This was the way my brother had his. It was a blast and there was no awkward dates at random tables. Happy planning!

We're doing a sweetheart table.  We have a lot of small tables at our venue and unless we pusehd a ton of round tables together, we couldn't do a head table anyway.

This is what I am thinking of doing. A sweetheart table with just us and then two round tables behind us with our wedding party and their SO/dates. I think it is nice when everyone, including the bride and groom can enjoy dinner with their date!

i just has this discussion with FI last week 

i think we are going to go with the sweetheart table because it is destination and 95% family 

i dont want their +1 to sit there uncomfy so we are going to let them sit with their dates and we have our own sweetheart table....

I really want a head table but everyone keeps telling me that they're "outdated." GRRRR! So maybe i'll do a sweetheart table with two round tables on each side. the girls on one side, boys on the other. thoughts???

I was planning on a sweetheart table but now I am thinking maybe having a head table. I am just not 100 sure yet. When I originally said no head table my dad seemed rather bothered by it. Even though he knows he wouldn't be sitting at it

This has actually been a source of a lot of disagreements between FI and I.
he would like the WP seated among the guests and I would rather them (and their dates/SO) to be in a "special" place.
I think we are pretty much in agreement now however to do a captain's table. Us seated with our WP and their dates/SOs. At least that is what I am planning on until its time to do the seating chart and FI figures out what I'm doing....

If that is what YOU want do it. Remember yes your fiance has a voice in all this but this is also you and your FI's wedding and no one else's!! Just remember that when you tell someone you are doing a head table and they give u an attitude just reply with "Well I'm the bride and what i say goes!"
