Show us your dresses!!!

WOW you guys all have gorgeous dresses! I didnt get mine yet.. Still looking. I have tried on tons and tons of dresses but so far none that felt just right... It seems that my idea of a dress is hard to find, I really dont want a strapless dress and most of the dresses out there seem to be strapless.. They all say they can make straps on the dresses they have, but that's not really the same, and I can't really imagine what it will look like with straps. I have to admit that dress shopping isn't as fun as I had hoped because all the shops but so much pressure on you to buy something right away and I can't buy a dress until I feel that it is the right one.. Going to go to some shops next week with my mom, maybe we will find something then

You shouldn't feel like this, ever.  My dress shopping experience was the complete opposite - walked in, asked to see a few dresses, told her what I liked and she did the pulling.  She fit me in between appointments and I never felt rushed, or like I was an inconvenience.  Her only request was that when I came in to show my mom (and buy!), it be on a day that she worked :).

I would have walked right out if someone got in my face about making a purchase <em>rightthen</em>.  Good luck!!

I'm late to this party, but here is mine. This is the sample that is too big, but you get the idea. I am removing the flower on the side and putting beads on it. I am wearing the belt for the reception, not for the ceremony and there buttons all the way down the back

i'm so glad you said this!!!! my dress (posted above) is WAY too big on the model! it's actually a drop-waist and you can't even tell on her! it looks like an A-line but it's definitely not! damn thin models! lol!

Yeah I reallyw as surprised by this behaviour. I experienced in several shops actualy. I have even had a couple of shops call me up repeatadly and ask why I haven't been to purchase a dress there yet... It's making me rather annoyed. I just booked an appointement at a new shop on Tuesday, we will see what that's like. Then on Thursday or Friday I am checking out some places with my mom too... Hope I find meet som kinder people :)

I haven't even gone dress shopping yet!  I was going to go in Feb because my understanding is they cut in april so if I order by May that should be fine.

I ordered my dress in September Still haven't gotten it yet but I am actually glad it hasn't come in yet. The longer it takes within reason of course the less time I have to store it at my house.

Everyone's looks beautiful!! I ordered mine but I want to keep it a bit more old fashioned and have decided that the first picture with me in it after all the fittings and so forth will be on my wedding day.  There's no rhyme or reason for how I feel.  It's just one of those preferences I have.

My dress should be in by the end of February... SOOO EXCITED!!! It is chiffon and will be an ivory color I LOVE all of the beading! Picture from DB website. 

P.S. OMG I FINALLY learned how to PIP!!!! That only took me 4 months to learn! Jeeze. smh.

I went with my 2 MOHs to play dress-up and figure out what I liked.  The plan was the come back later with my mom, FMIL, and some friends, but my best friend pulled this dress to try on....and I loved it!  I didn't want to take it off!!  I always said I didn't want lots of beading and I wanted lace...see how wrong I was!  The best part?  I saved $700

This is my dress. I went with my FMIL. It should come in, in April. Hopefully! I am having a terrible time trying to figure out what kind of jewelry to do with it. I am also debating adding a belt, I've already purchased the belt but we will see.

Some amazing dresses! Woot for good taste!  I'm going this month. Disappointed that I haven't lost some weight - I'm about 30 lbs over where I want to be at my wedding - was hoping to lose the first 10 by the time I try on dresses....:(  But...I've got a few weeks.
