Favors

Choice of favors

Should you give your wedding guests a choice between a couple different favors? I am doing favor boxes filled with personalized m&m's but what if some of my guests don't like m&m's or are allergic to chocolate? Should they have another option?

Keep in mind if you give a choice then you need to plan that 100% of the guests could chose one or the other so you need to have enough of each for every guest.  Either way you are going to get stuck with a ton of favors.  I think it is great of you to be concerned about your guests but I don't think it's that big of a deal when it comes to favors.  If they don't like/want them they will give them to someone else, leave them behind, or trash them when they get home.

I think in general people love chocolate. I have never actually known anyone to be allergic to it, anyways. I wouldn't plan an alternate. People who don't want it, won't take it.

This is precisely why we went with a candy bar. People could pick and choose what candy they liked, and there was plenty of variety.

if you want to give them another option you certainly can, but you can make it a semi-optional one, something that serves a second purpose like a wine glass or shot glass with your names printed on it. it can be on the tables or at the bar and people can take them home as little memories of your wedding.

i found one site that does them: http://bargainmugs.com/customized-stemware-c-5

If you want to keep with the candy theme I found a pretty cool candy-favorish article here: http://labelonthefly.com/2010/07/15/7-cute-candy-concepts/

might wanna check it out. hope that helps! :)

I wouldn't.  It just makes more work for you and will certainly be far more $$ to do two favors.  If someone doesn't like the favor, they don't have to take it, but to have a substitute is not at all necessary or even advised.

I think having more than one favor choice will only stress you out even more. Most people arent going to be allergic to choc so I wouldnt sweat it.

Please don't do anything personalized. Especially glasses.  I can guarantee they will be tossed or end up at a thrift store.  And if you don't believe me, take a cruise down the houseware aisle of your local shop and you will see something personalized in there!
