A single rose as a wedding favor?

What do y'all think about a red rose at each place setting for a favor? It doubles as additional decor and flowers are so pretty! Do y'all think people will actually take them home? I know I definitely would but that's just me. Thoughts?

Nope.  You'll have a lot of roses left on the tables at the end of the night.

  • While I think that would be beautiful... I think that would be not only a very expensive favor, but one that wouldn't make it home with guests either. Think about it from a practical matter: If you were a guest, what would you honestly do with that rose? Carry it home and let it die.

In my opinion, I say skip the favors.  But if you want to do them, I think the best favors are edible. And not candy-coated almonds - something people actually like.
  • Ok y'all, thank you so much! I was originally thinking truffles in pretty little boxes so the fact you said something edible is the best also helps reaffirm my first idea! Thanks!!!

    Great idea!
  • We did truffles and there wasn't a single one left at the end of the night.

Agreed.  We did Godiva chocolates in small boxes and they were a huge hit :)

They are the small gold boxes on the tables and we found matching ribbon in our colors, and had our names and wedding date printed on the ribbon and it gave that extra special touch.

  • I wouldn't take it home, but I am allergic to flowers.
