Candy Buffet 1/2 ,1/3 or 1/2 pp?

I am in the process of ordering a candy buffet for my July 21, 2012 wedding..Ahh..How much candy should i be planning for? 1/2, 1/3, 1/2 pound per person? I see these three different numbers everywhere. Thanks so much. I need to order soon

I always heard 1/4 pound per person and that's what we did. We had a little leftover, but not a ton, which is what I wanted. We had the buffet out during cocktail/appetizer hour so guests were also munching on the apps, which probably cut down on how much candy they ate. But we did have a lot of children who went nuts with the buffet, so it evened out.

If you want to be on the safe side, I'd plan 1/3 lb per guest.

I think 1/3 pound per person is about right.

We are doing 1/3 pound per guest.  That is plenty per person.

I think we will be doing 1/3 pp, but then maybe rounding down, rather than up.

Happy soontoo soon for me birthday! The website that suggested 1/2lb per person was candy warehouse so I take that with a grain of salt. I am leaning towards 1/3 since that is what most people have suggested. Thanks
