Favors

Thoughts on my favors...

So I need some opinions here because I feel like my FI and MOH are just saying they like everything! So...I already ordered coasters - they are in packs of 2, however, 98% of my guests are a couple so they will end up with 4 coasters and I have extras for my singles to take if they want. I also ordered a black and teal (wedding colors) favor box that will hold 4 Ghirardelli chocolate squares for each guest.... and I am sitting here having second thoughts. TIA :)

Generally, I'm in the edible favor camp, but I think I would like coasters if I got 4 of them.  The ones you picked are cute.  I would NOT like photo coasters or any with the couple's names and wedding date, though.  The only concern I would have is whether or not the water will run off the glass coaster onto the table. And hooray for chocolate!

I totally agree.   2 coasters woudln't do much for me, but 4 would probably be okay.   It really depends on the design though.

The chocolate is fantastic:-)  If you're having any doubts about the coasters at all, then I would just go with the chocolates.  The boxes are cute, and it's good quality...I don't think you need do anything else if you don't want to.

I did coasters, 4 per couple, and put their monogram in the middle where a picture would go. I put their table assignment on wooden tags tied to the coasters. This way they served a double purpose. My guests loved them and I'm still getting compliments/thanks 3 months after the wedding.

I think the chocolates are also a great idea. You could have these at each place setting.

I'd go edible.  I only say this because from a guest standpoint, my now FI and I recieved said coasters as favors... and actually I got a little tipsy (?) and so many had left them behind on the tables that I grabbed about four (PAIRS) of leftovers on our way out... didn't realize it until the next morning.  While think it was nice they wanted to give a favor, its been over a year and a half since their wedding and we HAVENT used them once... collecting dust in a back drawer somewhere.... harsh... but true.... kind of like the engraved champagne flutes from another wedding... hanging in my wine glass cabinet (two.. one for him, one for me)... havent used those again either almost one year later!

The bride did say plenty were left on tables at the wedding too... she was dissappointed because of the time/$ spent to have a full box of them still...

    IMO :)

(If you have leftovers... can you say STOCKINGSUFFERS/housewarmings/etc... the gift that keeps on giving!)

We did coasters for our favors. I agree with pps that 4 coasters is much better than 2. Our coasters doubled as escort cards. We bundled them in 4s and attached tags with the couple/family/single's name and table number. That way every guest "unit" got 4 coasters for their home. Something like that might be a good option so that singles don't feel like they got less and you don't have a large family getting like 10.
