I've had a LOT of trouble finding wedding favors that I like, and today someone suggested making wedding CDs for each of the guests. I've never seen this done before, but it sounds like such a cute idea, especially given that my fiance and I are musicians. We wouldn't make it a big production with a bunch of music that we've done, but rather a compilation of our favorite songs from the night (like our first dance, and some party tunes that we both really enjoy). Does this sound like a good idea? Or will people think that we weren't putting any effort into our favors/will it look "cheap"?
Thanks in advance!!!
Re: CD wedding favors?
Every time I've been to a wedding with CD favors, almost all of them were left on the table. Mine were always thrown in the trash as soon as I got home. It is not humanly possible that you and your guests all have the same taste in music. The only time I've seen this proposed where I thought it was a good idea was when the wedding was in NYC with a NYC theme and every song was about NYC.
You could put an assortment of love songs that you know everyone in general will love, what songs mean the most to you all and also, a few songs that you want played throughout the night! Your guests can either jam to it on the way home from your reception, use it as their own "Mood Music", or use it as a coaster! Bottom line, it wil be used, lol
