Need Help with wedding favors!!

I know my wedding isn't for a while but I am the type of person who likes to get things done kinda early.
My wedding colors are baby blue & chocolate brown.
The wedding is going to be outside and in fall. The theme of it is kinda western. I had an idea but no one seem to like the idea in my family so I was wondering if anyone could offer up ideas it would be very appreciated. thank you

What was your idea?  It sounds like your family was lukewarm, which could mean you'd be stuck with a lot of leftover favors but some more info about what you've already considered would be good.

Edible favors are usually pretty popular.  A little box of chocolates or truffles could be good or a small sample or jar of a local product - jam/jelly, syrup, honey, etc.  Cookies, cake pops, a cupcake are also things I've seen go over well and are things that can usually be shaped/decorated/frosted to match your theme and/or colors.

We did not go the edible route.  We gave each of our guests a handmade ornament (easy to fit with our color and winterish theme).  They weren't any left over at the end of the night - but we knew something homemade and crafty would appeal to most of our guests. 

Have you attended other weddings for your family or social circle?  What have you seen there that you and others have liked?  I'd use those experiences combined with what you and your FI like as a jumping off point.
