Anyone give honey jars as favors?

We are wanting to do jars of honey for favors, but I wondered if anyone knew the best place to get them?  We are debating whether to just order them pre-made....or buy honey in bulk and put the honey in jars ourselves and tie it with ribbon or a cute tag. I've browsed a few sites that offer honey jars...but so far I'm not set on any of them. I do not like the little jars that look like baby food jars. I really would like a hexagonal type jar, or mason jar if possible. Thanks for anyfeedback!

We are not doing this for our wedding, but I have received honey as a wedding favor before. They used these:

To be honest, I never used mine but it was a really cute idea. If I were you, I would buy individual jars from TK or somewhere else. I would be very hesitant about buying honey in bulk and pouring it into your own jars. Without proper sterilization, you can easily contaminate it (ie botulism).

    Good luck!

Thanks, I actually didn't think of that. I definitely wouldn't want to contaminate them. The jars in the link are the ones I don't like. They look like baby food jars to me. I'll keep looking though. Thanks!

We made jam for our favors and used these jars:

The small 3  3/4 size is absolutely perfect.  It's generous for a favor.  The ones on the knot look absolutely tiny (like one use).  Also they are hex like you wanted.

You will need to sterilize before putting honey/ jam/ whatever in the jars, then again after.  It's time consuming but outs came out amazing (we made jalapeno-strawberry jam)

    good luck!

I used homemade Jelly for our March wedding and we used the company Spoonfull of Jelly.

I had the same idea of buying it in bulk, but Spoonfull told me that jars have to be prepare separatly to seal them. They decorated them beautifully and shipped them to my venue. Check them out!
