Cigars for favors?

My fiance and I absolutely love cigars. I thought it would be pretty nifty to have 200 of nice cigars, in pressed boxes with a thank you note attached. My love agrees with me, but we're not sure if that would be..... a little tacky. What are your thoughts?

Only you two know your crowd.  But personally I hate smoking in general, and as a guest, I'd be a little irritated that you were trying to push it on me.

Are you having kids at the wedding?  If so, be careful.  I went to a wedding where a champagne toast was served to every single person at the wedding.  Ages 2 and up.  That was wierd.

I personally wouldn't take a cigar favor, but my husband would.  Like PP said, you know your guests best and know if they will enjoy a cigar.

I think this is the kind of favor where only half of your guests will like it, so they'll all take two and half the crowd won't even get a favor.

Keep in mind that your favors are gifts to your guests.  Like any other gift you would give, you should try and keep in mind what they would like more so than what you would like.  If you aren't going to do favors with your guests in mind, than please skip them altogether.
