Do i need a bag for the favors?

We're using measuring spoons for our favors. each comes in a box with a clear lid, and has a bow tying it (with a little tag that says our date and names)
Do  these need to go into a bag of some sort or are they just set up as is? Im drawing a blank from past weddings ive been to.
If theyre not in a bag then how is everyone supposed to carry those favors around? Lets say you showed up and have no purse, etc?

I think you could do it either way bag or no bag.  I've seen them with no bag.  Guess it's all in your personal preference.
