Masquerade theme favors

We are having a Masquearde ball as our reception and are thinking about purchasing masks for our guests to be used as favors as to avoid confusion (when asked, we plan to tell guests that it is a Masquerade, but not to worry about bringing a mask as they will be provided). If you were going to this wedding reception, would you consider these tacky favors? Would you be expecting something else? We were thinking of also just getting Hersheys Kisses and placing them on the tables.
What do you think?

This sounds like a great idea to me. I always wanted to have one like that but everyone poopooed it. Good for you! Not sure that everyone would actually wear the mask, but I don't think that it is tacky at all to give them out. One suggestion would be to get the kind on sticks instead of the elastic band kind so that people are more apt to participate, but you probably know that already :)

Just make sure there are a variety of different ones and they are cheap.  Because they will be thrown away when people go home.  Have a place to take pictures, or have your photog go around and take pics of couples.   You can even have paper and markers at the tables or where the pics are taken for people to write wishes on them and hold up in the pics.
