It depends on your budget but I went to Stumps and purchased a mural. It was about two hundred bucks and it became the focal spot of the event. We stapled it to on by three strapping boards and used those electrical tie wraps to secure it against the wall we wanted to cover. You can drape tulle in front of it. I don't rememver the name of the site but I just googled "cheap tulle" and you can buy it by the bolt. I have seen pictures where someone swaged it across the wall, using the two defferent shaded of blue (the brides colors). It looked pretty. She said that she used those removable stick on hanger things...you know the one they advertise at Christmas.
I find that any time you try to cover up something, you only draw attention to it. Why not ask them if you can remove the plaques, and replace them after the wedding. Be sure to take a photo so you know where they all go.
Alternatively, you might be able to rent lattice screens or pipe and drape.
Thanks, we aren't able to remove any of the items off the wall what so ever =\ maybe we will do tulling.. Not to sure though because it's see through? Any other ideas?
