Favors

Favor Help!

We have gone back and forth on favors soooo many times. We're trying to do something food related and kind of Italian themed without being cheesy.

Idea 1: Olive Oil Dispenser

Idea 2: Nice serving tray for appetizer style foods

Idea 3: A bottle of seasoned oil and we were thinking we could order fresh baked mini bagettes or rolls in pretty bags to go along with the dipping oil.

Idea 4: A cookbook. We have discussed putting our favorite recipes together and making a small cookbook to give to guests. It would have classic Italian dishes and traditional Southern crusine to represent the two of us.

When in doubt, go with something edible.

I love any and all types of serve ware so I'm all about those! Then again I like to entertain a lot and have many family parties a year. This is a know your guest type of situation, but when in doubt go edible.

I love them all but I am all about DIY favors. I think it shows everyone that you really care and took time to make something special for them.

I like ideas 3 or 4. I couldn't care less whether a favor is homemade or not, just as long as it isn't something covered with the couples' names and wedding date.

I like the olive oil bottles or the cookbook.  If you have out of town guests, keep in mind that it may be hard for them to get the olive oil home if they fly and aren't checking luggage (gah 3 oz rule).

I didn't even think of that! I don't think we'll have any flyers who are leaving right away but I'll be sure to check the oz on the bottle.

I love the flavored oil bottles. I wouldn't worry about the idea that favors need to be hand made. Most of them that I've ever seen were not. Not everyone has the time for that.

I like the olive oil bottles or the cookbook the best. I think the oil dispenser and serving tray are cute, but may not be everyone's taste or useful to everyone.

Any of those are fine.  My only suggestion would be not to put your names/wedding date on the favors.  While I don't mind store-bought favors, I am less inclined to take a favor with a name and a date on it.

The cookbook idea sounds really cute! I also think the little bottles of olive oil would be good.
