Nothing says baseball like peanuts and Crackerjack.  Peanuts can get messy, I would just stick to Crackerjack.

Ditto Peavy.  Our RD had a bit of a baseball theme, and MIL put out a bowl of chocolate candies wrapped in foil resembling a baseball.  I was going to make cake pops decorated as baseballs as a surprise for H, but we ended up having plenty of dessert options, so I scrapped it.

Edible favors are usually preferred.  If you decide to do the Chapsticks, prepare to have several years worth of Chapstick left over, because lots of people probably won't want to take one.

My first thought was peanuts and Cracker Jack as well.  However, cookies decorated to look like baseballs would be easy and inexpensive.  Big League Chewing Gum would be fun, too.

Maybe those little boxes of crackerjack that they make for Halloween?    That would be cute.

If you wanted to echo the bat motif you already have going, you could make (or buy) chocolate-dipped pretzel rods.  Package one dipped in white chocolate and one dipped in milk/dark chocolate together in clear cellophane bags (you can get them at most craft stores in the cake decorating/candy making section), and tie with ribbon in your wedding colors.  Maybe toss in a few of the foil-wrapped, baseball-decorated chocolate balls that PP mentioned?

I love the Cracker Jacks Idea.   I did something like these once: http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-m-CLRsJur1s/TsBp2rA5aGI/AAAAAAAACJM/F_X5vrrW3Nc/s1600/Recently+Updated27.jpg

These are cake pops made to look like baseballs, which actually look better than the ones I made because they are round.  The ones I made were oreos dipped in chocolate that i used royal icing for the lacing.

What do the place cards look like? I too need to incorporate some subtle baseball into it. I had cake toppers that were red sox precious moment figures that we love, but they don't go with our colors. I am planning STD red sox tickets, but I have no idea from there.

I love this idea! I think my favorite is for the cracker jacks. Such a great idea. But you could also do the baseball themed cookies. I would check with your local bakery to see if they could do them for you.

Also - to BritniLeigh and anyone else interested - just wanted to let you know there's this favor company that my MIL ordered some favors through (that we loved - chocolate covered oreo's) and I just saw a posting on their facebook page. They are doing a contest for a free monogram cake topper. Thought even though it doesn't go with the baseball theme, you might want to enter. The company is on facebook - they are Moments of Elegance. Anyone else interested - feel free to enter.
