I'm trying to decide whether to use paper fans or silk fans for my garden wedding July 2nd can anyone tell me which is of a better quality to give guests for a favor and keep them cool during the ceremony
I don't know much about silk fans, but I know you can always personalize paper fans and, because you can use cardstock or something thicker, it'll be a stiff and efficient fan, not just something pretty to look at.
It depends on if you think your guests will actually keep them after the wedding. Obviously both serve the purpose of cooling your guests off during the ceremony but the silk ones will last in the long run.
As PP mentioned the paper ones are great because they are so customizable, but I have a silk fan I used in a dance performance almost 10 years ago and it's a great keepsake - it's open and leaning against the wall on shelf.
