I dont know when you guys are getting married but when i was in Lowes the other day they had these flowers they were shaped like an egg and you crack the top open put it on a little plate and it blooms into flowers they were so cute and perfect for an April/May wedding.
I like the idea but I wouldn't take the favor. Think about where you live. I live in Los Angeles and the majority of people live in apartments so we wouldn't have a use for them.
i'm planning a december wedding, and I too was thinking of using evergreen tree seedlings as favors. i know that if i went to a wedding with seedling favors, i would by psyched, but i'm also worried that the vast majority would think it is lame. opinions????
I ordered a sample of a mini plant which arrived last night.
FI saw it and said it looked like a weed! It made me laugh, but he was kind of right Jagore08 has a good point and I do not think a lot of people would take them home.
I don't think I'm going to do them. *sigh* back to the drawing board.
I am grateful to see this post - we are having a very small spring destination wedding where we live - in the Colorado rockies. I thought it would be nice to give out Colorado mountain wildflower seeds as the favor (small and easy to travel with). All of our guests have houses, etc. I think they would really like them. But my question is, how do you personalize them? I like the note above "Love is in Bloom". Any other wording ideas?!?!
Re: Tree Seedlings
Has anyone else done this?
Thanks.
