S'mores wedding Favor

Hey ladies! My fiancé and I are getting married at a great outdoor venue with a stone fire pit. We are doing for a rustic wedding theme and I love s'mores! We decided for our favors to do little s'more kits for our guests to make at the reception. Has anyone attempted this? I'm trying to find the best way and time before the wedding to package them all so they stay fresh. Thanks! :-)

  • I haven't done this, but from your post, I would envision a little ziplock bag or other air-tight container (maybe you can find/make something cuter) with a marshmellow, two halves of graham crackers, and a fun-size Hershey's bar (the size with four rectangles to break apart). Sounds delish!

  • I think you could put the fixings in a cellophane bag tied off with a ribbon.  Or if you had a food-sealer you could maybe heat-seal the cellophane (like you would seal a potato chip bag -- I'm pretty sure you can do this with a food-saver? I know I've seen it on some infomercial or another).

If you can't find a way to seal the bag, then just tie it off with ribbon, and maybe keep all of the cellophane bags in some kind of air-tight container like a large tupperware.

  • I saw a cute DIY tutorail for this somewhere.  If I can find it i'll post it here.

  • I am also doing smore favors! for the exact same reason.. I am envisioning that will put two marshmallows, two whole grahams broken in half and a few small indiv wrapped chocolate bars.  I saw online you can find the cellophane bags which have an adhesive so that everything stays fresh.  I know we wont start assembling them all till a few days ahead.
