Favors

Edible or not?

I was just wondering if people prefer edible favors, like a small chocolate bar or something they can actually keep? Id hate to waste money on something like candles or photoframes that people will just stuff in a draw and forget about. Opinions?

Re: Edible or not?

  • Edible.  But if you are on a tight budget, or it's too much hassel, then just skip them.

Not necessarily edible, but usable.  My best friend did little bottles of lotion, and I've seen people do travel packs of tissues or notepads. No matter what you choose, some people will leave them behind.  Don't take offense, just take it home and use it yourself :)
  • We're going with non-edible because it was cheaper- seriously, we picked up photo coasters that will double as our place card holders (since we needed some way to do those anyway) for less than .50 a piece! Not to mention that we have some allergies and dietary concerns among the crowd- can't please everyone so might as well do something functional too!

  • Edible or at least usable.  The best favor I've ever gotten was a small glass jar of Jordan almonds -- I don't even like Jordan almonds (I threw them out), but I used that jar for years to put spare change in.
