Can't decide and time is running out!

Our wedding is rapidly approaching, and we STILL have to get our favors! We are struggling with last-minute RSVPs.  We are having a wedding of about 150 people, but only a handful of children. It is a church wedding, and the reception is in a ballroom of a hotel.

We are looking for something that is economical, but not stereotypical. 

We originally were going to do customized shot glasses, and fill them with customized M&Ms.  However, the shot glasses were going to be around $70 just to ship, on top of $150 for them.  And the M&Ms were somewhere around $120 for a 7 lb. bag... but I have no idea how much we would really need?

Deep breath!  You can skip the favors if you'd like. 

Edible favors are always appreciated.  How about you just get the M&Ms and put them in a cellophane or tule bag?  You could even get some M&Ms personalized and mix in with non-personalized to help with costs.

Agreed with PP. Skip the personalized shot glasses. They'll probably just end up in a drawer somewhere or being thrown out. Edible favors are the best kind.

Yeah, I was thinking edible too.  FI doesn't like the price of customized M&M's, especially in comparison to regular M&Ms.

He found these boxes online, and he thinks we should just buy bulk chocolate candy from the grocery store.

I guess I've just been so caught up in sticking to the color scheme that I'm getting to be too picky...

skip all the personalization stuff. i would never use a shot glass with someone else's name on it. and a lot of people would just eat the m&m's and not noticed the customization. go to the dollar or discount store and buy a bunch of pretty little bags or even cellophane bags with ribbon, then go to a bulk food store and load up on candies. don't worry about the favors too much. it's just a little extra thing and it sounds like your busy enough with more important things.
