M&Ms as favors?

So I have been looking online at My M&Ms and found that you can get specific colors or even personalize your m&ms. I was thinking about getting blue, purple, cream, and black and putting them into cellophane bags and tying them up with purple and plue ribbon. What is your opinion on this idea.

I would eat them and think they were delicious.  I may or may not notice what the M&Ms said on them.

I ordered m&m and didn't get words for that reason.
I loved the colored idea but didn't think paying for them to print on the was worth it, if someone is just going to eat them

If you order them catch at 20% off sale (that seems to be the best special I have seen so far)

I ordered custom made m&m's recently.  I LOVED them.  I have pictures of my FI and me on them.  I have to admit I couldn't eat them all.  I have some saved just to look at.  :)  But, I'm sure others wouldn't have a problem eating them.

I just ordered them and they came super fast!  My colors are navy and apple green with white accents.  I bought the navy and green ones bulk at the grocery store for cheaper then ordered the white ones printed, I think it worked out well like that and saved a lot of money too!

My bridal shower was 'something blue' so MOH put blue and white m&m's (from party city, they have bags in each color) in a little blue box with bow (from target).
I think it's a cute idea, edible is the way to go IMO.

If you are concerned that no one will pay attention to what the candy says you can always order them in the silver tins....it doesn't cost extra...then head over to michaels arts and crats and they sell labels that will fit the tins....you can personalize the labals with your FH and your name on them...just an idea :)

I think they are adorable, but be careful what you package them in.  M&M's tend to bleed when warm (melts in your mouth, not in your hands is NOT an accurate slogan).  A lot of brides use netting and sachet bags but that can be messy.  I would use something like a tin that was mentioned above.  Even if it's a favor that doesn't last, it's something that people will remember and that's really what weddings are all about.

my sister did red, black and white as her wedding colors, and ordered m&ms in these colors tied in bags with ribbon. they were personalized, all with different sayings. shes always been a huge m&m lover. everyone loved them also, and she took advantage of some special they were doing.

I was thinking about doing that as well, does anybody know how many pounds I should order for about 75-80 favors? I was just going to buy the little clear boxes at Micheals and fill them with the m&ms.

My best friend just did personalized M&Ms for her baby shower favors. They had the baby's name and due date on them and everyone noticed them and loved them.

If you have to money to get personalized instead of just regular, I say go for it!

We're going to do M&Ms for our favors as well...both of our names start with "M" so the m&m is going to be the monogram/theme for our wedding...I'm just debating on whether or not we should get our actual colors or just buy bags of M&Ms at the grocery store...the colors are way more expensive!
