Candy Buffet

I'm doing a candy buffet for our guest's favors. We will have 75-100 guests. How much candy should we order? I'm ordering 6 apothecary jars to fill and will mix and match pink and green (our colors) candies in each

Its best to order about 1/4 pd of candy per guest.

Based on numerous bulk candy websites, they state that you should not buy candy depending  solely on the number guests but based on the size and effect of the display that you would like to create. Take into consideration the jars and containers and overall look that you're going for then buy the candy.

Maybe it's a ploy to make you buy more candy but I think it's a good idea.

While I agree with the PP that you want the candy buffet to be pleasing to the eye, 1/4 lb. per person will accomplish that.  You may even need a couple of more jars.

Thanks for those tips everyone. I was curious about the similar type of questions. My other question is-- has anyone ordered their "bulk" candy from a great online place they'd recommend? It seems like there are soooo many! Also, I'm trying to figure out the timing of WHEN to order.... Our wedding is at the end of May, but I want enough time for it to ship, and prepare (some of it will be in bags on the tables as favors) and other will be in dishes on our cake table.
