Brides Beware of The Knot Shop

Just wanted to give a heads up to unsuspecting Brides out there like me, if I had known that The Knot Shop was horrible customer service and order processing I would have went elsewhere.

I ordered 11 custom totes from this website's store on December 6, 2010, I checked weekly on the order status online and the status went from over 2 months of "Processing" to  "Not Shipped" on Wednesday.  My wedding is in 2 weeks and I was waiting on these totes to give as gifts to my Bridemaids, I just called Customer Service to ask about the "Not Shipped" status and hopefully get some tracking, well she said that since it was a Discount Item they were out of stock when I ordered!!  I asked well how much longer and she said, "No maam we have been out of stock since December 1st".  I am so angry and upset right now, they could have notified me, updated the order status online, not processed my order at all if it was out of stock, not sell out of stock items, or offered me some sort of discount or rush processing for something comprable, and nothing.  I have 2 weeks until Wedding Date and The Knot did not notify me of this for 3 months!!  Please beware of purchasing from here, I would hate for anyone else to be in a similar situation, I have no idea what I am going to do and I am so dissapointed.  They did say they would pass this situation on to their IT department but that doesn't help me.  Buyer Beware!

Was your card charged? If so, did you get a refund? What was the estimated shipping date when you made your order? Usually it says something along the lines of "expect 10-14 days processing" Why didn't you call a month out? I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. 

I ordered my matchbooks from The Knot, and I am very impressed with the quality. I agree about your complaint about the website though, if I check on my order it still says "processing" even though I have already recieved them.

Oh WOW!!!  I'm really hoping this is not the case for me.  I ordered our toasting flutes and cake cutter about a month ago, and like yourself I continue to track my order and it still says not shipped.  I called last Monday to ask about switching out the cake cutter and they told me I couldn't because it had already been engraved and to be shipped between that Wednesday or Friday.  Well, here I am a Monday again, and it's still not shipped...Please oh please don't let this be the case here!  :-(

From my post from yesterday, I got home from work yesterday and my items were finally there.  Hesistant to open them because of previous post I read about other peoples items, I opened and was pleasantly surprised.  The cake server set was flawless and the toasting glasses were perfect as well. The delivery time was something to keep my pressure up and makes me hesistant to order my favors from them.

CRAP! I wish I've read this post before I ordered from the knot shop! I just ordered personalized totes, as well. This is very upsetting news.

Look at department stores for something similar. I know it may cost a few dollars extra but at least you are still giving that same gift idea. Time might be tight but I still believe in miracles and you just never know - things can only go up from here. 

I know you might be set on giving the gifts before hand, but with all honesty...its just as nice to give afterwards. It is the thought that counts, and I'm sure the people you are giving the gifts for will understand why its late.

Go to a hallmark store. They have these totes, as well as Michaels. It won´t take long since you´re only doing it for your bridesmaids. And problem solved. don´t stress, you don´t want circles under your eyes on your big day
