Prickly Pear Jam

I'm attempting to bring elements of my home state into my wedding.  What do you think of small jars of homemade prickly pear jam as favors?  Maybe with an individually wrapped piece of cactus candy tied around it with a ribbon?

I love the idea. I too am using jam as a favor.  Only I'll be making homemade strawberry jam and placing them in 1.5oz jars.  I'll be using ribbon too.  And I think I'll order personalized labels for each jar.

Good luck! I love the idea, prickly pear is very unique! I would love to attend a wedding and see that as a favor!

I love all things unique, and pricly pear jam just sounds yummy! I think it's a great idea and it's just a little bit exotic, so that most people would be trying something new!! It is definitely a good way to make things more personalized.

I am not super into favors, though BF name is J and mine is A and his last name is M so the cheesy side of me thought it would be fun to do a monogram and make small jars of "JAM" in various flavors for favors.

where are you girls getting your jars???  i'm on here looking for alternatives to jam because the jars i'm finding are all so expensive....HELP PLEASE!

I'm not sure what too expensive is, but here are a few I'm looking at. You can navigate around the sites. I really like hexagon jars, but there are a ton of options.

Hope it helps. I'm trying to keep the size between 1-2oz and then I'll make my own jam and cute labels!
