Wedding Favors

I'm lost in this department. I have looked on tons of websites, but I want to give something cute and different, but still super affordable. Please give me ideas!!!

Individual sizes of coffee/hot chocolate/tea?  Anything edible.

Avoid trinkets, and things with your name/date on them.

Favors are not necessary, if it is going to stress you out or not fit in budget, don' do them. I did  not give favors at my wedding.

We did personalized M&Ms in our wedding colors.  Our guests loved them.

I would recommend avoiding trinkets as well.   99% of the time they will end up getting thrown away.   Really, nobody wants some random candle, mini flower pot, photo coaster, wine glass, coffee mug, or anything else that won't match the rest of their belongings.  Who can use ONE coaster?   And if it has your name and date on it, forget it (unless I can eat it, like a cookie).

I'm a big fan of edible favors or no favors at all.  We are skipping a wedding cake because we both hate wedding cake, and instead we are doing cupcakes as favors.   You could also do cookies, candy, hot chocolate/tea, cake pops, mini wine bottles, or any food that you and your fiance like, or fits your theme, or is  local specialty.

Like PP said, if you can't afford it or can't think of something you like, then it's fine to skip favors.

I am in the minority here, but I didn't do edible favors (gasp!) I made tile coasters for the guests and everyone really liked them. Each guest or couple got a set of 4 matching tiles. They doubled as escort cards and I chose tiles that went with their decor and personalities. Most of my friends and family actually use and love them. They were really easy, cheap, and fun to make. We also had a DIY photo booth/wall.

Ditto PP, edible is the way to go or skip it. We had a photobooth and that was our wedding favor to our guests. On the side of the photostrip it printed "Making Memories 11-11-11"  so they had a memory of the wedding date but nothing with our name on it or saying that it was the wedding, just like dating a photo.

I agree with edible, too! We are doing the candy buffet thing. I've wanted to since before they were super popular, but I'm still going to do it now that they are. I plan to go big and bold though, because I want it to double as decor. Plus, there will be quite a few kids invited to our wedding, so I think they'd love a candy buffet! I am even going to do some sugar free things since I know a few people that are diabetic will be there.

Most brides are choosing edible favors for their weddings.  They choose not to spend money on trinkets that won't be used.  Honestly, favors are novelty items that most guests never find a use for.  The trend now is candy buffets and other edible items.  Choose candy, hot chocolate, honey, cookies, jelly beans, etc.  You can find a host of edible favors here:
