"Pick Your Own Favour" Station

I'm thinking of setting up a favors station with a variety of favors (e.g. plants, jams, teabags, etc.)for my guests to select what they want instead of giving something that they might not.  Not sure if this idea could work though.  If any kind soul has tried this before, please give me some pointers or comments.  I certainly don't want this to turn out into a huge mess!  Thank you

What happens if one favor is more popular than another?  What if everyone wants jam and no one wants the plants (which is likely)?  You may end up with a lot of leftover favors and guests who don't end up with a gift because they don't like the selection.

I see where you're going with it, but I do think that it could turn out not as you anticipated.  I would stick to one favor for all and make it something edible.  No plants.

I think that might be a little costly as well, if you are on a budget. My wedding is next year in May and I was thinking about and searching for the perfect favors for my wedding as well...but I stopped thought about all the weddings I went to and what happened to the favors I brought home...which ended up in the trash...I'm opting out for the favors..or may have just lil candy bags. So my sugguestion for you if your not so big on favors and are on a budget like me...do something simple...because your guest are really not going to remember what favors you gave at your wedding 10 years later or even a year later. So don't stress over the favors.

Nice idea on paper.  No so good IRL I suspect.  I think you'll end up spending more money and having logistical problems~people taking more than one, having too few or one and too many of another.  Too many left-overs.

    Choose one favor.

I agree with PP.  I would go with one thing, possibly the jam.  That's a good idea, everyone likes edibles and are more likely to take those home.
