Favors

Favor Dispute

My hubby-to-be and myself are having alot of debate about the favors. I wanted to use jordan almonds and m&ms for favors. However several members of his family (including himself and his father) have diabetes. So I need a non-candy idea that will not break the bak, as our budget is only about $1.25 per person.

Can you do jordan almonds and mm's for those w/o diabetes and do a sugar free candy for those who you know have it.

My friend did a magnet. (she's in a similar situation) She went to the hardware store and found loose tiles in a light color and wrote the date of her weddng on them with a ceramic marker then went over them with a sealent and glued little magnets to the back. It's a little labor intensive but was a really cute idea. You can find just about everything at either a home depot or craft store. Hope it helps!!

If you really want to do candy the following site is great!

If you do a search they do have sugar-free jordan almonds.  Sounds like a win-win to me!

There are a lot of ideas that could work if you are up for DIY.  One of my favorite right now are coasters made out of tile (from the hardware store...very pretty).  I think I am using these for my shower.  You could also make your own candles, bookmarks, luggage tags, coffee cup wraps/holders (made out of fleece), etc.  It really depends on your style, theme, etc. what would go best.

I love the tile magnet idea... But if you're wanting to stick with a similar favor to the candy, why not do a trail mix or justalmonds (without the Jordan lol), cashews, peanuts or something like that? Wouldn't be any more expensive than the candy and you could still package the same way...

nobody wants junk!  Junk constitutes as anything with YOUR name, wedding date, location, picture, etc.

Edibles are the better idea as far as favors go, and you can certainly find sugar-free candy and use for everyone, not a "hey, you can have this one, you can't have that one" confusion.

You could also take that $1.25/p and put it towards something more meaningful/useful in your wedding.
