Beach wedding favor ideas

Hi ladies,

I'm struggling with favor ideas for my wedding. We are on a strict  budget and can't afford to spend more than $1/person... We will have around 150 guests. 

We are avid fans of edible favors. Our original idea was to get sand dollar sugar cookies (  http://luluscookies.com/ ), this  lady sells a package of like 340 cookies for $70 or something along the lines of that. And we ordered samples, but they weren't that good... so now we're back to square one. I don't want to do the typical baggie of m&m's or personalized chocolate bar (no offense to anyone!)... I want something a little more unique and beach-themed than that.

I would appreciate any and all ideas! Thanks

What about little jars filled with sand and have the date and your names on the jar.

making molded soaps is not difficult.  http://www.ehow.com/how_5908_make-glycerin-soap.html.  You would need to pick up the glycerin We used large candy molds for a cameo shape (that was the theme for that bride's wedding).  You could do something similar with a shell shape.    It took the bride and her three bridesmaid (including me) 1 Saturday 10 to 5 ish to make 150 soaps.    She had 2 dozen of the candy molds in her shape.  A lot of the time was spent in between batches (cooling time) chatting and discussing our dresses.

I also thought about cake pops - maybe 2-3 per person with tropical flavors - pina colada, key lime, etc.

My wedding isnt beach themed, but I am doing white chocolate and milk chocolate covered pretzel rod sticks and putting them in cute clear bags with a ribbon and our logo and date with the ribbon.. You could use just white chocolate to cover your prezels and mix different food dyes like orange, yellow, or red into the white chocolate... anything that would look like coral reefs.  And prezels aren't expensive.  And what I use as chocolate works great and tasted great.  Tho not sure what it is.  They could look like reefs? maybe add gramcracker crumbs in the bottom of a bag to look like sand? 
but this chocolate stuff is very inexpensive at walmart.
