Favors

favors for the ceremony?

my sister who is also my matron of honor, suggested that we should give out favors after the ceremony because some people wont be able to make it to the reception. YES or NO? IF YES, what kind of favors? I need some feedback, please. =/

No.  You'll have enough on your mind without trying to figure out who gets which favor after your ceremony.

Favors aren't necessary at all, and why make it complicated?

We are doing a favor for the ceremony - wedding water. And then we're also doing a candy bar....and calling it good.

You don't have to do anything for favors, at all, if you don't want to. Remember - it's your wedding and, if anything like me, your pocketbook...!

I did favor's for my ceremony and the reception, but that was just bc i wanted to.
no favors are even required, you have enough to worry about why bother worrying about different favors.

    Thanks ladies.

I'm actually going to be having Fiji Water Bottles with pictures of me and my FI wrapped around the bottle. tacky or no?

I have a few things in mind since I thought about it through out the day...
    - Paper fans with our pictures
    - Mint Tins
    - Candles
    - Chocolate
    - Mini Cider bottles.

Leave your pictures off of anything.  That would just come across as insanely AW-ish to me.  I mean really:  your photo on a bottle of water?  Really?  Waste of time, $$, and effort.  Same with the paper fan.

Give guests the fan and water.  Just don't plaster your faces on them.

Yeah, no faces!! We're making our own labels for the water, but just our names & maybe the wedding date. We are fully aware that they'll more than likely all end up in the garbage - however - the water is coming from costco - a case consists of 35 bottles for just $4, and we're making the lables. 200 bottles of water is only gonna cost us maybe $50.

Here's the thing tho.......have fun with yor favors!! Don't feel pressured, don't let anyone else tell you what NOT to do. I mean...the pictures of your faces IS a little much - but it's YOUR wedding!!! ;)

    Have fun!

haha thanks. but i do agree, the faces being a little too much.
i think we're just gonna go ahead and put our names and the date of the wedding as well. simple. and im really thinking about getting cheaper water too. we really dont need FIJI.
