Lemon Drops

sSo, at the suggestion of some knotties on here, I ordered lemon drop candy as my favors for my citrus themed wedding. I also ordered 2x2x2 kraft boxes to put them in.

My question is this: Do you think they will go stale? I want to make the favors sooner rather than later, because I want things to be done as early as possible. Also, should I put some tissue paper in the box and fold it around the candy so it is not touching the box?

Lastly, What do you guys think about labeling them. Since I am going to tie with a ribbon, I was thinking about maybe putting a small piece of paper with a thank you note inside and right on top instead of putting any kind of information on the outside.

Thanks :)

I wouldn't think they would go stale being a hard candy but you may want to wait a bit longer just to be sure.  Tissue paper inside would be a nice touch.

As for the little note idea, I think that would be really nice.  Maybe you could do a hanging tag on it that says something sweet like "Something sweet from the Mr. & Mrs.  Thank you for sharing our day with us."  (Maybe not quite that cheesy :P)

I would wait as long as possible, JUUUUUST in case. They won't go stale right away, but why risk it?

I'd say wait as long as possible.  If you plan to put tissue paper inside, definitely wait as long as possible.  If they lemon drops get hot or if you have a humid day, they can/will get sticky, add sticky lemon drops to tissue paper, and you'd have a big mess.
