I've been reading alot of posts about attendant gifts lately so I'm rethinking things a little. I have 3 BMs and there are 3 GMs. My budget is $60 total.
I am 100% Def doing for the guys- DIY etched beer mugs with thier initials. For the Girls- a set of 2 matching wine glasses DIY etched with thier first name initial and little circles to make them more fun and less formal. BTW, the mugs and wine glasses are taking up $28 of my alotted $60.
I have toyed with the the following ideas:
Guys:
- Ties- if I can find them within my budget (the wedding is infomal they are wearing kahkis and white shirts)
- Personalized shot glasses to match the mugs- I know one of the GM's doesn't drink so I'm not sure if a shot glass is a good way to go. I feel like the mugs are classy and he can use it for anything not just beer.
Girls:
- Personalized shirts- the more I thought about this, I KNOW they will make shirts for us for the bachlorette party and we wont really need anything other than that... we all love random tee shirts but I'm not sure it will be worth the effort/money
- Personalized shot glasses to match the wine glasses. This is within budget, easy, and the girls would use them.
- Totes: I think only one of my BM's would use a tote if I got them but I can't afford anything large enough/heavey duty enough so that she would use it. I KNOW one of them would NOT use it, the other one I'm unsure. Also: I bought really sure matching BRIDES gift bags that where clearance at michaels for something crazy like $.75 for 3 or something and they match my wedding colors so I can use those to put the gifts in also.
- Coasters: I've already done a test run with these- they look good, cheap and easy but I planned to do a whole color scheme for each of them with the totes and shirts that might not happen now...
- Jewelry: Not sure if I would make or buy necklaces for the girls but I'm really bad at accessorizing so I'd have to recruite help from someone outside my BP. Also- not sure if I can do this within my tight budget.
So for the guys- I want to do something else but it has to be CHEAP! For the girls... I dunno what to do- thoughts? suggestions?
Re: Attendant Gifts
But anyway, think of each person, and what THEY like. Not what you like. Not what has a wedding theme. Not what matches. Get the reader a book light. Get the music buff an itunes GC or a poster of their favorite group. Get the wine lover a nice wine bottle cork or opener, get the foodie a cookbook.
It can be done, if you think personally instead of "groupily".
