NEED HELP WITH HOW MUCH CANDY EACH

I am really struggling with deciding on how many pounds of each candy I should get. I want about 70 pounds total! Some of you girls that have already done a candy buffet will know more about this than I do. Please help me with how many pounds to get in each of the candies:

Gumballs (1 inch)

Soft sours (1/2 inch)

M&Ms

Watermelon Sour Patch

Green/White Sour Patch Rings

Starburst Jelly Beans

I would probably get 10 lbs. of each--maybe 5 lbs. more of the M&Ms and Jelly Beans since they are small.

    I agree with the pp
about 10 pounds each for the bigger things and about 15-20 for the smaller things since they dont take up as much room.

I've set these up for several people and your m&m's will go the fastest.  I also noticed you have quite a bit of sour candy - those tend to not go over as well, unless you have a lot of little kids or college aged guests.  I would suggest changing one of the sour options to a non-sour option.  Flavored tootsie rolls and anything chocolate tend to go over the best from what I've seen.  But for your specific list, I'd do:

    Gumballs (1 inch) 10lb
    Soft sours (1/2 inch) 10lb
    M&Ms 15lb
    Watermelon Sour Patch 10lb
    Green/White Sour Patch Rings 10lb
    Starburst Jelly Beans 15lb

People say from 1/4 lb to 1/2 lb per person.
