Destination wedding favors...need advice!

I am getting married next June in Riviera Maya Mexico. I am wanting to do something for all of our guests, but I'm not sure what to give. Not wanting to spend a lot of money. We will be having roughly 40 guests and want something thoughtful and/or useful for the trip they will all be making with us. Any ideas?

I'm always a fan of something edible.  I saw these cute little plastic luggage candy holders...with white Jordan's in them. Not sure how much they cost, but they were cute.

If you're having a destination wedding then you should look into their local treats.  If you purchase them locally they may not be as expensive (and you won't have to worry about getting them to Mexico).  I agree with doing something edible, those are always the best favors in my opinion.

First, don't buy the favors until you get your final headcount.  In my experience only about half the guest list usually makes it to a DW, and you don't want to buy double the amount.

Second, I agree with PPs--something edible that's a local treat that you can't get at all or get easily in the US would be fun and unique.

I bought little luggage tags as my favors. They have cute chrome ones or even leather ones available at a few different price points. Doing edible at a destination would be tough for me, worrying about breaking or melting depending on what it was.  The luggage tags are small, compact and definitely used.

This.  Make it easy for them to pack to return home by giving them something to consume during all the festivities.
