Children's Favors?

I am giving out mini wine bottles as my "adult" favors.  As far as kid favors, I'm a little unsure.  I have found containers of glow-sticks at Michaels for a $1 a piece.  Would this be kind of cool,  or just a waste of money?

The kids in my family run from age 5 to 24, and they ALL love glo-sticks.  This is especially fun if your reception will have dim lighting.  If you budget allows for it, I'd also include something edible, as you just can't go wrong with kids and candy.

I also love the glow stick idea. They've been a hit at any party I've seem them at.

Last year I was at a party and I had this awesome glowstick princess wand. Some little girl ask me if she could have it so I said yes (I'm a grown woman, I can't just tell this kid no). Later on I saw her with 5 glow stick wands. Little brat hustled me and was hoarding them!! I'm going to be mean and guard my wand with my life this year!

Anyways, FI used to DJ parties in high school and his mom bought a canister of about 100 bracelets for a couple bucks. I can't remember the site but I bet you could get a great deal if you googled it.

Check oriental trading! We are making little goodie bags for the kids favors and they have a lot of nice stuff for reasonable prices. We are thinking candy, mini coloring books and crayons, a small toy or two, glow sticks, and anything else we can pick up cheap. I check the clearance sections at every store I go to...you never know where you will find an awesome deal!

I am giving the kids at my wedding mini gumball machines. It's candy and they can refill them once they eat all the gum inside.
