Hello,
I am considering adding another favor item and am wondering if it is too much...
Here are the "favors" we have for guests:
1 Welcome bag for each person given at Welcome Cocktail Party sunscreen, aloe, bug spray, Pepto, Motrin, 2 types of local candy, map, welcome letter
2 Small Brushed Silver frame with photo of couple/individual also used as the table place cards
3 A Cuban Cigar Roller who will be rolling fresh Cuban cigars and teaching guests how to roll them. There will be cigar tubes so guests can also take one home with them.
4 Personalized box of Matches
5 We plan on send each guest a local postcard with a personal comment and thank you for coming that will hopefully be there soon after they arrive back home. Our wedding is in Mexico
6 ??? I am also thinking of placing a pretty box of 4 French Truffles at each place setting.
What do you ladies think? Is it too much? Or is it nice?
Thank you!

Re: Favor Overload For Guests?!
[QUOTE]Hi there @nicoleanderson A bit too much I should say, but if you got the budget then why not ? go for it, after all, they have come there to celebrate with You and Your Wedding, and not the freebies. Best of Wishes ! Cheers !

I have huge guilt issues for having a DW! Haha
I would scrap the "personal care" items and just include a map, candy, letter, and some bottles of water.
The frame seems odd. Where are you getting the pictures? Also, if I were single, I wouldn't want a solo picture of myself in a frame.
p.s. You do know that "real" cuban cigars are illegal for United States citizens, right? So hopefully you do your research on that and have references for the roller.
Thanks Addie. I'll do it then! Oh! And about the photos. We have tons of photos of everyone in attendence. I would never put bad photos of anyone. As for single folk.. There are not many, but the photos of them are one of their favorite photos of themselves: having just summitted a mountain, diving in the Galapagos, right after making the winning shot at a D1 college Bball game. Etc. honestly, each photo also happens to be a photo they have or have had as a Facebook profile pic which generally indicates that the person likes that picture. My FI and our people are HUGE on cigars. The matches will just be at the cigar roller's table. Cigars aren't my thing at all to be honest. But they are all super psyched about it. I thought about water too. However, that would be unnecessary. There is bottled water available for free 24/7 at the resort. You can order it, get it anywhere on the resort, and they stock the room fridge daily with water and juice. As per sunscreen and aloe for potential sunburns... You would think people would bring them. In my experience, they often do not either forgetting or planning to buy some when they get there. They are both just nice little travel size bottles.

Still...this isn't really a "favor" for your guests. I would not be thrilled with a picture of me out in a frame at someone else's wedding for display without my permission.
It seems like you already are set on all of your ideas, so I'm not entirely sure why you asked for opinions.
Don't feel like you have to do them, but to me, they are sort of the feminine counterpart to the cigars (cuz I don't know any women who smoke cigars ... of course I don't know many men that smoke them either ... but it seems like more of a guy thing to me).
I don't think you have too uch, but I think of adding anything will take away from what you have and what will be at your wedding. The welcome bag is great and that will be in the hotel so that will be separate.
I would consider the frame your favor, and the cuban cigar roller an activity at your wedding (nice touch!) and the things that go with it part of the activity. I'd imagine the matches would be part of the station?
The post card is a great idea, it's like your thank you note so that's separate.
I think your truffles are going to take away from your favor, and away from your cake.
You'll never be subject to a cash bar, gap, potluck wedding, or b-list if you marry a Muppet Overlord.
I would scrap the photo idea altogether for reasons already listed. It would be weird to show up and see a photo of myself and H at someone else's wedding. Presumably if it's a photo of us that we love, we would already have it framed anyhow.
I definitely prefer edible favors, so I would do the truffles.
