DW, then AHR....

We are having a DW with immediate family, and now I decided that we will have a wedding celebration, reception type party once we get home. To include more family and friends, and it's our thing, we like to host parties!

I'm not expecting gifts whatsoever, and we are not registering, but I feel like I still need to do favors for all that attend the AHR.

For those who had a DW or even a reception at a later date then the actual wedding, if you didn't have a theme, what did you do for favors?

I've been thinking about the wine bottles personaized, candles, ya know, the "norm", but I'd like something unique, but not breaking the bank.

Any ideas or suggestions?

I am having a DW and then an AHR and we are doing personalized M&Ms for favors. Its kind of pricy, but so us so it's worth it. For 100 people I think we would need a 10lb box at least and thats $250 minus shipping.

    Hi there,

I'm doing the same as you both...we're doing water bottles with personalized labels.  You can get the labels on weddingstar.com or have someone make them for you on etsy.  You can even DIY and print them at home on waterproof paper found at staples etc.  Then you can always just get a couple of flats of water for cheap...here it is $2.47 for 24.  We have 120 guests so that will be 7 cases, a bit more just in case.

We are also doing matches as many of my FI side are smokers.  They will just be in a bowl at the guest book table or something like that.

For kids we are doing activity books at a kid activity table with big boxes of crayons.

One of the brides on the DIY forums sent me the MS Word document and I am just going to change the names and print it off and staple them or punch a hole through and bind together with ribbon in our colors.

    Hope some of this helps?

    Good luck!
