HELP! Florist rental fees

Hello-  I'm a little concerned- just got my price quote from our florist and while everything appears fairly fine (expensive but not insane) they're charging me $1,286 in "rental fees".  This comes on top of paying for all the vases and everything and a $715 fee for the service, delivery, drop-off, pick up.   To give it a frame of reference, my budget is $4k so this seems excessive.  Other friends say their rental fees were around $100.

Is this reasonable?  Or insane?  Or somewhere inbetween?  I live in Philadelphia so I know its slightly pricier but why am I spending over 1/2 my budget on rental and drop off fees???

This would be a question for your local wedding board <---------------------. I'd simply ask someone about your florist, by name, and whether anyone is familiar with this practice. I have never heard of rental fees, unless you are in fact renting equipment (linens, chairs, chandeliers). I'd also double check with them, maybe they gave you someone else's info?
