how did you all make a decision on what flowers to use for your wedding and exactly hwo to do the centerpieces? i am having a june wedding, our color is yellow and for centerpieces i know i want some tables with submerged orchids and other tables to have taller arrangements with branches, hanging votives, and yellow flowers mixed in with the branches. im lost on bouquets, boutineers, what flowers to use in the tall centerpieces, what kind of branches/trees to use and where to get them. there are just so many options and im trying to do things on as much of a budget as i can and my head is already spinning. any advice and/or suggestions would be greatly appreaciated.

A florist will be able to help you with all of this.  That is their job!  I suggest finding a few good ones in your area and meeting with them and picking someone that you feel gets your vision the best.

Also googling "yellow wedding centerpieces" or "tall branch centerpieces" will bring up images that can help you narrow down the look you are going for.  You should definitely take inspiration pictures with you when you meet with florists.

Google is your best friend!! It really all boils down to what you like and what the florist comes up with. I agree with the PP about googling for inspiration pictures.

I would think of three flowers that you absolutely love and would like to have in your wedding flowers and let the florist decide on the rest of the filler.  I had so many different types of flowers in my arrangements that there was no way I could have picked them all myself (and I was in the floral business for 8 years).

Talk with your florist about what you would like and let her know your color scheme and budget.  Also, like a PP said, google is your friend, look for pics and take them with you when you speak with your florist.

I did submerged orchids for my ceremony decorations and other submerged flowers for my centerpieces...






(This was one of my two alter pieces...I figured since you said you wanted centerpieces with branches and hanging votives this would give some idea of what it might look like...of course some adjustments would need to be made)
